The DETAIL Prize is awarded for future-oriented, innovative and authoritative projects with outstanding architectural and technical qualities. For the eighth time, DETAIL is awarding the international architecture prize, which honours innovative building construction projects, outstanding interior design and constructional highlights.
The prize is awarded every two years by DETAIL in cooperation with BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, as the main sponsor, and conceptual partners from the political arena and industry sponsors. The declared aim of the DETAIL Prize is to highlight the importance of architecture for society, to strengthen the role of architects in public, and to promote networking among architects, industrialists, developers and politicians.
The prize is awarded in four categories:
The DETAIL Prize is awarded for a building that is especially characterised by well-designed, future-oriented and technically-innovative details within an outstanding overall concept.
Special prize – structure – powered by DETAIL
The special prize structure – powered by DETAIL is awarded to an outstanding project with an extraordinary solution for structural design and architecture, which was developed in close cooperation between civil engineers and architects. Besides architects, the prize is also aimed at civil and structural engineers.
Special prize – DETAIL inside
The DETAIL inside special prize is awarded for a particularly exemplary project in the areas of interior design, expansion and architecture. Architects, interior-designers and designers are all invited to submit their work.
DETAIL Readers' Prize
The DETAIL Readers' Prize is awarded to DETAIL readers' favourite project as chosen in an online vote.
