DETAIL research Lab: Ideas for tomorrow

Once again in 2019, special attention is being paid to "Future Materials and Innovations". In addition to the numerous product and system innovations presented by exhibitors at their stands, DETAIL is for the third time in a row curating a special exhibition on innovative product developments or raw materials and semi-finished products in the form of prototypes, models and material samples. The focus of the selection is on functional and construction materials, resource efficiency and digitalisation.

Among the pioneering ideas that industry and universities have been pursuing in recent times are, for example, a facade with glass statics that enables a minimal profile view, and a lightweight pavilion with a folding structure as a load-bearing system to be created using parametric design and 3D-print construction methods.
