Since 2009 Markus Holzbach is Professor of Visualisation and Materialisation at University of Art and Design HfG Offenbach. As a trained architect and materials and process engineer he founded the Institute for Materialdesign (IMD). He taught and researched as an assistant of Werner Sobek at Institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design ILEK at the University of Stuttgart, where he also earned his doctorate. From 2008 to 2010 he was Interim Professor at University of Applied Sciences Koblenz. He has lectured at RWTH Aachen University, Darmstadt Technical University, the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam-NL and Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT in Cambridge/USA.

Brian Cody is university professor at Graz University of Technology and head of the Institute for Buildings and Energy. His focus in research, teaching and practice is on maximizing the energy performance of buildings and cities. Before his appointment at Graz University of Technology he was associate director of the international engineering consultancy Arup. He is founder and CEO of the consulting firm Energy Design Cody, which is responsible for the development of innovative energy and climate control concepts on construction projects all over the world. Professor Cody serves as member on many advisory boards and juries and is Visiting Professor and Head of the Energy Design Unit at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna. He is author of the book "Form follows Energy” published in 2017.

Hanaa Dahy is a registered architect and had finished her doctoral studies from 2010 to 2014 at the University of Stuttgart. She studied Architectural Engineering in Cairo with honors (Hons.) in 2003 and earned her Master degree in 2006. She established her office in 2003 in Cairo and have worked there academically and in practice till 2009. In the frame of her Juniorprofessorship, Dahy established and directed her (BioMat) department, “Bio-based Materials and Materials Cycles in Architecture” at the Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design. She has European and international patents, earned the best of Materials and Design award (Materialica) in Munich in 2015 and the Material Prize award (MaterialPreis) in 2016 from the Design Center of the state Baden-Württemberg in Germany, a fellowship for the innovation of university-teaching in 2016/2017, a number of research/industrial project funds and is a member of a number of European and international scientific and professional bodies.
