Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Christian Schlüter, studied architecture at the University of Wuppertal, majoring in "ecological building and design". From 1991-1998 he worked in project partnerships with Ingenhoven, Overdiek, Petzinka und Partner in Düsseldorf.  In 1998, together with Michael Müller, he founded the company Architektur-Contor Müller Schlüter in Wuppertal, now ACMS Architekten GmbH. In 2001, he was appointed to the Association of German Architects (BDA). After teaching structural design at the University of Wuppertal from 1998-2002, in 2008 he was appointed to the Bochum University of Applied Sciences. There he is responsible for the "Sustainable building and construction" and "Building refurbishment" teaching areas. Since 2007 he has been a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), and since 2015 a member and deputy chairman of the Design Advisory Board of the city of Dortmund. In 2018, he was appointed to the expert group of the "Future of Building" research initiative of the Federal Ministry of Construction.

Jürgen Bartenschlag studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin. After graduating in 1995, he worked in various German offices in all planning areas, lastly in implementation management at Harms & Partner, before moving to Sauerbruch Hutton in 2000. There, Jürgen Bartenschlag has been an associate and member of the executive board since 2005, and an associate director since 2017. He manages a range of projects in various work phases, currently including a timber-frame residential building on the FRANKLIN site in Mannheim; an administration, logistics and production centre for GIRA in Radevormwald; and an assembly project for living and working in Berlin. Jürgen Bartenschlag is head of implementation management (LPH 5 to 9) and head of internal quality management for facades, shell construction including timber construction, interior finishing, and technical building services. He gives lectures at numerous events and symposia.

Since 2017, Dirk E. Hebel is professor of Sustainable Construction at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany and Principal Investigator for Alternative Construction Materials at the ETH Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. Prior to that, he was assistant professor of Architecture and Construction at ETH Zürich, Switzerland. He was also the founding Scientific Director of the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He was as well guest professor at Syracuse University, guest lecturer at Princeton University, and Hans and Roger Strauch visiting critic at Cornell University.
