Ulrike Brandi Licht, Hamburg
Ulrike Brandi is Managing Director of Ulrike Brandi Licht GmbH and the Brandi Institute for Light and Design. Her office has planned around 1000 projects, including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Light Exhibition at Istanbul Modern Museum, Munich Airport, Amsterdam Centraal Station, Rotterdam Centraal Station, and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. She was a visiting professor at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK) and taught at the Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, IED Madrid, Tsinghua University Beijing, UNAM Universidad Nacional in Mexico, and the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. She has published various specialist books and curated exhibitions.
Dr. Wilfried Pohl
Bartenbach, Aldrans / Tyrol, Austria
Wilfried Pohl studied mathematics and physics. Since 1985 he has worked for Bartenbach in Aldrans/Austria, and since 1989 has been a member of the executive board and head of the research and development department. His responsibilities include R&D for daylight and artificial light, visual perception, light and health. Wilfried Pohl leads various international planning and R&D projects in these areas and lectures at various universities.
Dr. Thomas Schielke

Dr. Thomas Schielke studied architecture at the University of Technology in Darmstadt, Germany, and now is an editor at the lighting manufacturer ERCO, where he leads lighting workshops and is designing an extensive online content for architectural lighting. He is a co-author of the books"Light Perspectives – between culture and technology" and "SuperLux - Smart Light Art, Design & Architecture for Cities", has published numerous articles on lighting design and technology and has lectured at leading European and American universities, including Harvard GSD, MIT, Columbia GSAPP and ETHZ. His column “Light Matters” on ArchDaily reveals various perspectives of architectural lighting.
AGC Interpane, Lauenförde
Michael Elstner – Head of the Interpane Consulting Centre (IBC) & Strategic Communication – has been with Interpane since 2002 (since the alliance with AGC Glass Europe in 2012, the Group has been known as "AGC Interpane"). Since 2007 he has been Deputy Guild Master of the Glazers' Guild Oberpfalz/Kelheim as well as a member of the Technical Advisory Board of the Federal Association of Glazier Trades (BIV) in Hadamar. In addition, he is a member of the board of the Gütergemeinschaft Flachglas and the Federal Flat Glass Association (BF). Since October 2018, the state-certified glass technician and glazier master as well as public appointed and sworn expert for the Federal Association of Glazier Trades (BIV) has also been a member of the board of the ift Rosenheim e. V. The Interpane Consulting Centre (IBC) supports architects, engineers, planners and processors from Germany and abroad by telephone and on site. In addition to technical advice for the mentioned target groups as well as on facade and window construction, its focus is on the training and management of national and international cooperation between architectural consultants and service providers.
