Floating hotel above the mountains

The brains behind the accommodation portal Airbnb have done it again: after transforming a KLM airplane into a hotel suite, they have now devoted themselves to a cable-car gondola in the French Alps, high above the ski resort of Courchevel. The gondola is completely furnished for four overnight guests, who must on no account suffer from claustrophobic tendencies; nor must they have any fear of heights.

These guests are offered an unforgettable stay: first, they ascend with a snowmobile, where the gondola awaits, its table set with a sumptuous meal. Best of all, the room offers a 360-degree view over La Saulire, the highest point in the Courchevel area. With this panorama, it matters little that the designers have not bothered to provide a TV.

Like the last promotion, this spectacular stay is to be won by lottery: all you have to do is write to Airbnb and explain why you and your friends deserve to overnight in the gondola.
