Beach house ,Netherlands by Tjep.

Images: Tjep.

With the apparent form of an English seaside bathing hut, this house plays tricks with its scale. Then there is that funny solar tree sprouting from the roof! It looks like a children’s cartoon, but then who wouldn’t feel like a child if they had a wonderful house like this on the beach?

With its full wall shutters this house could be opened to bring in the sun or keep it out providing shade. For the winter months it has an intelligent heating system that is integrated with the PV cells to keep energy consumption and running cost to a minimum.
