All-round view: The Infinite Bridge by Gjøde & Povlsgaard Architecture
It is not known how many times Den Uendelige Bro (The Infinite Bridge) was walked round at Thors Møllebæk river during Denmark's Sculpture by the Sea festival this summer, but on a single Saturday in June no less than twelve couples took their marriage vows on the ring-like artwork.
The opportunity to do so was one that will never return, since the bridge – a particularly impressive and romantic contribution made by Gjøde & Povlsgaard Architecture to the festival – will not be in place for ever.
The circular structure, which has an approx. 60 metre diameter, was assembled on site out of 60 pre-fabricated wooden elements with the help of Aarhus Tech students.
