Bubbles of light: by Alex de Witte.

Like an apparition manifesting around a mysterious spot of light, these beautiful hand-blown bubbles of light appear to hover in the room, defying physics and any notion of practically.

Allow these delicate, sublime objects to carry your transcendental dreams and thoughts...

That is certainly what the judges of the “Design District Amsterdam 2013” allowed to happen, when they awarded Alex de Witte, the author of these beautiful oversized lights, the winner of this year's competition.

Each hand-blown shade is unique, and is sized between 85 to 115 cm in length. They are illuminated by dimmable LEDs as well as a vivid, yet pure imagination.

Gratitude to Jebiga.
