Everything flows: COSMO installation at MoMA PS1

The »assemblage of ecosystems« purifies 11,000 litres of water in a four-hour cycle, enabling Andrés Jaque to make a political statement by addressing a United Nations forecast that most of the world's population will lack sufficient fresh water by 2025.

The installation – an architectural structure-cum- temporary urban landscape – provides an interesting backdrop for MoMA PS1's Warm Up summer music series. Glowing light diodes indicate whenever a new water purification cycle begins, making COSMO the focus of every event.
