Our Favourites: Three light-flooded sports halls in Spain
A translucent campus extension in Madrid, a green sports centre in Barcelona and a sports hall in the Balearic Islands create inviting spaces for sports activities.
Bright sports pavilion: Campus extension in Madrid
As an extension of the Francisco de Vitoria University campus in Pozuelo, Madrid, architect Alberto Campo Baeza has planned a sports and learning complex in brilliant white. The building, which is made of glass-fibre reinforced concrete, opens up with varying degrees depending on the compass direction and the sunlight. With its translucent façade sides, it looks like a luminous cube.
