The Ultimate Software from Sketch to BIM by Vectorworks

The German version of Vectorworks Architect 2019 offers innovations and enhancements to significantly improve the 3D and BIM modeling, 2D documentation and presentation workflows for architects. For example, 3D models can be used to efficiently create 2D drawings. Designers can define in detail how the 2D components of 3D symbols and 3D BIM objects will appear in plan, elevation and section views. In addition, based on the scale, three different display modes can be defined for all views, to create a clearly arranged 2D drawing on the basis of complex 3D models. Images in JPF, TIFF or similar formats can be edited right inside of Vectorworks, without having to export the design to other image editing applications. The new image effects work with viewports and imported images. Vectorworks also allows designers to model their own special components and supplement them with IFC data. The new IFC data mapping tool automatically controls and assigns objects and data for IFC export. Custom export options and the ability to specify data for sub-objects facilitate the exchange of BIM models with other project stakeholders.
The software also provides support with scheduling and cost management, allowing architects to carry out quantity and cost calculations in accordance with DIN 276. Vectorworks offers powerful space planning tools enabling designers to quickly and consistently handle a large number of spaces. Space objects now support the use of styles so designers can efficiently create and manage spaces for typical information such as usage type, color, and class. In addition, space objects can also be adapted to non-horizontal ceilings and floors. This results in more accurate representations of space volumes, areas, calculations and visualizations.
