Car Park with a Textile Facade in Bielefeld

The Facid textile facade system can be adapted and shaped on different surfaces. By using system profiles, it can also be implemented quickly and cost-effectively without bringing everything to a stop – as for example, on the new multi-storey car park on the Schüco Campus in Bielefeld. A substructure of steel and aluminium forms the supporting structure of the fabric structure. A total of 2,949 m2 of textile facade spans the 18-m-high multi-storey car park. A patented tensioning system that incorporates fabric-holder technology ensures that the fabric is wrinkle-free. The individual rotation of the partial surfaces creates a 3D effect. The installation of the fabric on two facades took eight weeks.
