Cobe proves that a roof can act as an urban link with the triangular, stepped form of the extension for the Copenhagen Red Cross. Ochre-coloured clinker bricks already characterise the exterior façade of the existing building and are now also used in the staircase structure of the new building.

Interacting with their surroundings, the roofs of an underground art museum in Helsinki, an extension for the Red Cross in Copenhagen and a museum building in St. Louis in the USA attract all eyes.
The "Lasipalatsi" (Glass Palace) built in 1936 by Viljo Revell, Heimo Riihimäki and Niilo Kokko is one of Helsinki's landmarks. Now the architects JKMM have renovated it and added an underground exhibition building for the Amos Anderson Art Museum. Only the striking tile-covered domes in the forecourt indicate the new building.
