Our Favourites: Three Elaborately Designed Retail Stores by Snøhetta

High-quality materials are used to showcase the goods at the Aesop Store Pitt Street in Australia, the Holzweiler flagship Store and finally, at a small shoe shop for the upmarket brand Faust – the last two in Oslo.

Granite and Sandstone in Sydney: Aesop Pitt Street by Snøhetta

Wafer-thin Paper: Holzweiler's Flagship Store by Snøhetta

Snøhetta has conceptualised not just one but several fresh designs for the Norwegian fashion label Holzweiler, thus lending new lustre to the brand's flagship store in Oslo and showroom in Lysaker and providing the website a new look. The purist design concept is determined by few sophisticated elements, as befitting the Holzweiler style.

Attention to Detail: Shoe Shop in Oslo

The design of a small 20-square-metre shoe shop for the noble brand Faust in Oslo looks like a structural homage to Goethe's classic. Snøhetta translates various anecdotes of the literary model into an architectural language and plans everything down to the smallest detail.

Client: Faust
