Our Favourites: Three retail stores for clothing and fashion

Industrial chic: Gonzalez Haase transform a storage hall into a concept store

Gonzalez Haase have transformed a storage hall in the former industrial outskirts of Marvila in Lisbon into the Tem-plate concept store. The retail space between the old quarter of the city and the Expo grounds is located in the midst of art galleries, concert halls and small restaurants, thus placing it in the best of creative company. A contrast-rich design by the Berlin architects transforms the hall into a spacious shop.

Like in Heaven: Céline Flagship Store in Miami by Valerio Olgiati

With this flagship store for the French fashion label Céline, Valerio Olgiati shows a light, nearly playful side of marble: he has covered the boutique from top to bottom in fine Pinta Verde from Brazil. The pale-blue colour makes the pieces seem to float as if they were on clouds. “This is a place where an internal universe can be imagined” is how the architect describes his design.
