Non-slip Surfaces in Clinic Environment by GriP Safety Coatings

The water-based two-component coating with slip resistance class C was used in the floors and open showers. One advantage was the fast processing time. After twelve hours the surface coating is dry, which eliminated lengthy interruptions of the hospital operations so that the rooms were soon available again for patients. According to the Swiss manufacturer, it is important to observe the outdoor weather conditions, especially when used abroad. Wind, dust and high relative humidity affect the non-slip properties, making installation by qualified professionals advisable. The coatings, according to the product developers, require very little maintenance, are insensitive to disinfectants, comply with hygiene standards and are resistant to germs and bacteria, which makes them especially suitable for use in a hospital environment.
