MosBuild Architecture and Design Awards (MADA)

The exhibition was split into a two-week format, MosBuild Design & Décor and MosBuild Building & Architecture, and covered the entire spectrum of building and interiors products. It welcomed a total of 1,517 exhibitors from 41 countries in a combined area of over 90,000sqm. Due to the current economic climate in Russia, expectations on the show were not as high as previous years but total attendance figures of 86,141 industry professionals seemed to dispel most concerns. Daniele Baldini from the export division of exhibiting Wall Décor company Portofino, commented: »We left Italy with a negative impression due to the problems with the Russian market but we are really happy and pleasantly surprised by what we have found.«The shows 21st edition re-confirmed its relevance in the market but also its status as an international event by welcoming 14 national groups from Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, China, Korea, Malaysia, Portugal, Slovakia, Taiwan, Finland and the Czech Republic. The event also attracted an array of internationally respected brands from many different industries such as SINA Tile, SACMI, Equipceramica, Duravit, Vitra, OLI, IDEA, Laufen, Villeroy and Boch, Clever, Nofer, Anza, Armourcoat, Beorol, Colorifico San Marco, Polisan, ALI, EGGER, IDEAL, Panaget, A.S. Creation, Erismann, Hewlett Packard, Emeliana Parati, Verbeek Designs, Alubond and Assa Abloy to name a few.There was also an increase in first time exhibitors from outside of Europe, hoping to seize opportunities arising from the sanctions and trade restrictions currently in place between Russia and Europe. Leading Iranian ceramics company SINA Tile, were one such company, their International Marketing Manager, Reza Geransayeh noted: »At present Russia is under very heavy sanctions from Europe and the USA, we thought this highlighted and opportunity for us. Russia is the biggest country in the world and the market presents huge opportunities.«
