Founded in Spain in 2008 the language school uses a specially developed teaching method that is based on the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. The latter believes that the potential of children should be promoted and that the focus should be on the child’s individual perception of the environment and self-guided behaviour.
Just like an adventure playground, the design only develops its full potential when the children interact with it. This creative concept delivered a shelving system that can be used from either side. While the bottom half of the meandering folding steel structure rests on the floor, the upper half is suspended from the ceiling. The wall space between the two is glazed on the classroom side so that the children can "inhabit" the niches from the corridor.
