Wooden Pattern and Glass Facade

On an island on the south coast of Norway, Atelier Oslo has created a retreat for two artists that blends into the rocky shoreline. All the exterior wooden structures were built with Character planks from Kebony. A small footbridge and staircase lead down from the higher-up rocky hill to the entrance, marking the transition to the island. Behind the entrance lies an open interior with concrete floors and stairs. The outer shell of the house consists of a prefabricated wooden construction. Light enters the interior all day long through the glass walls and the wooden facade, which is anchored to the floor slab.
