Combined Design and Cost Planning

Building software without BIM functionality is hardly conceivable today. That is why G&W Software AG offers the BIM2AVA module from with significant process improvements and new functions. BIM2AVA transforms the BIM process CAD building model into the commercial building model in The bi-directional linking means that each component viewed in AVA can be loca-lised directly in the 3D model and vice versa. The automatically generated schedule of rooms and buildings provides precise quantities for components and services and is updated whenever the model is changed. In the schedule of rooms and buildings, all components and rooms or construction elements contained in the BIM model are displayed and logically grouped together with the properties stored in the IFC file. It is also possible to transfer furnishings and quality characteristics or technical parameters, such as private properties.
BIM2AVA now also enables cost planning for standardised room types. The rooms are allocated in the CAD program and then exported via the IFC interface. This allows the planner to automatically allocate typical cost information, even if the 3D model contains only very few details. This method is especially useful for building projects containing many rooms with the same furnishings, such as hotels, hospitals, administrative buildings and blocks of flats. BIM2AVA features fast and precise cost calculation and cost structuring with automated generation of a bill of quantities.
