Chairs made of PET Felt

At this year’s Orgatec, the project furniture manufacturer Vepa will present in Hall 7.1 the Felt chair, which is made of 60 recycled PET bottles. The chairs covered with PET felt have sound-absorbing properties and were recently awarded the Green Product Award as an innovative design product for sustainable consumption. For another product innovation, the manufacturer cooperated with the environmental organisation Plastic Whale. In a joint project, the plastic fished out of Amsterdam canals is processed into office furniture. So far, the collection includes a conference table, chair, lights and acoustic panels. Steel waste is used for the chair frames. Part of the proceeds from their sale will be used to support environmental initiatives to combat plastic waste.
