There was a time when calling somebody or something cardboard was considered and meant as an insult. But today, thanks to its low environmental impact, cardboard is becoming a material of choice for designers of things from furniture to bicycles.

This armchair and two seat sofa is entirely made from recycled and recyclable cardboard. The range is called “havarest” and was designed by Giovanni Rivolta, Nicoletta Savioni, and Markùs Stefànsson and is produced by A4ADesign in Milan. Read more

It is fast. In yellow aluminium it is as close as architecture gets racing, and for a second, captures the thrill and blood rush of driving a ferocious beast of a car. The final Future Systems project designed by the legendary, late, Jan Kaplický opened in Modena, Italy a couple of days ago. The Enzo Ferrari Museum is actually based around the shrine that is the old house of Enzo Ferrari. The contrast and dialogue between the two is glorious. Read more
