meck Architekten poetically renamed the small holiday home as the "Heustadlsuite" (barn suite), which is part of a hotel facility in Bruck, Austria:

"Heustadlsuite – a steep slope. Three old Heustadls give the location its character: newly composed, they follow the slop. A new building made of wood arrived: dematrialised, painted black. A one-room house as walk-in furniture, completely panelled in wood on the inside. Light enters the interior through the structure of the old Stadls. Different heights and a continuum of spaces. The fireplace as the centrepiece. Taking a bath with a view. A retreat. Peace and quiet."
